MSM Transportation named 'Carrier of Excellence' by Canadian Transportation & Logistics; wins fifth straight Shipper's Choice Award

BOLTON, Ont. (August 1, 2006) -- MSM Transportation, a leading provider of commercial transportation solutions in North America, has been named one of eight "Carriers of Excellence" by Canadian Transportation & Logistics magazine.

The award, presented for the first time this year, honors trucking, rail, and ocean carriers that have surpassed performance benchmarks established by an annual survey of transportation buyers and logistics professionals for at least five straight years. The survey, called the Shipper's Choice Awards, rates carriers in all modes for on-time performance, customer service, problem solving, and other key indicators. MSM Transportation is one of only eight transportation providers in Canada to exceed these benchmarks each of the five years the survey has been conducted.

"This is a particularly difficult task because aside from having to maintain consistent excellence in their operations, carriers will have to meet a likely rising standard set by shippers from year to year," the magazine said.

The 2006 Shippers Choice Awards were based on ratings of more than 5,000 less-than-truckload and truckload carriers. MSM Transportation surpassed all seven performance benchmarks in both the LTL and truckload categories.
