John Abate of MSM Canadian Transport Named President of Los Angeles Transportation Club

 
SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (Jan 10, 2008) -- John Abate, vice-president of operations at MSM Canadian Transport, has been elected president of the Los Angeles Transportation Club (LATC).

The LATC is a non-profit corporation for transportation professionals, shippers, and suppliers in the Los Angeles area. It provides a forum for members to establish business relationships and promote the value of the industry to the general business community. It also has raised thousands of dollars for scholarships and local charities.

Abate has been a member of the LATC board since 2003. "I'm excited to build on the momentum of 2007, which included an increase in membership, well-attended monthly luncheons and other events, and improved communications with members," he said.
